Why Scotland?

Terrain

The vast amount of variation in the terrain on offer in Scotland means there is something for everyone! From the famous rock slabs of Torridon on the west coast to the rolling hillsides in the east and the coastline up North Scotland has it all!

Send it Scotland was born in Aberdeenshire, voted best mountain bike destination 2024 by Develop mountain biking Scotland the area is a great place to start any Scottish mountain bike trip. With plenty of rolling hillsides, lochs and glens as well as being the gateway to the Cairngorm national park this area has inspired Send it’s adventures for years. Now we feel it’s time to share some of these ridden spots with others!

Culture

Scotland is famed for historic castle’s, ancient kings and queens, clan tartans and of course the food! Exploring by bike allows you to discover these ancient lands with good opportunities pre and post ride to take in the local cafes and restaurants in charming villages and towns.

Scenery

A Scottish mountain bike trip is alway the perfect way to discover the picturesque towns, villages and castles that you might otherwise pass by. Every town has their own claim to a famous cuisine making for them perfect for a post ride refuel washed down by a dram or two! The famous mountain vistas on offer make those challenging climbs worthwhile when you get a great view over the corries (bowls) and glens in the hills!
