MTB Skill and Fitness Levels

An Adventure for all abilities:

Novice: You love the scenery and flowing paths! You prefer flatter terrain over steep hills. You ride maybe 1-4 times a year.


Beginner: You love tackling bike park or trail centre blue trails but are still building confidence on technical features or bigger adventures. You can pedal for around 500m vertical a day. You ride around 1-2 times a month.


Intermediate: You are comfortable flowing down red trails and tackle short steep sections small table top jumps are not a problem. You can pedal for up to 800m of climbing in a day and ride at least once a month.


Advanced rides and trips: Prolonged steep sections never phase you and tackle jumps with style. You ride 1-2 times per week and can tackle 1000m or more of climbing in a day.
